Is there a way to lock in the course tune setting? Once I set the course tune (say the tempo of a loop) and loop it in Cakewalk it reverts back to the middle. For that matter if I do anything in cakewalk, stop play, add midi effect, etc.. the course tune reverts back to the middle setting. Am I going to have to constantly to back and resert it each time, or is there a way to lock that setting in?

Thanx to Dave at Nemesys Tech support. With a lil ingenuity and some advice I figured it out. I also would like to thank Donnie for his knowlede and know how on a few past issues. My Akai S5000 is so sold!!! Anyone interested? 136mb of RAM, hardly used...$1600..subject to change. =-)

Regarding your tuning reset problem, what was the work around. I have the same issue and it is alarmingly annoying to deal with. If you can help me, please respond to cchico@mediaone.net
