Best price/performance ratio CPU for Giga studio

Hi All
Im getting ready to buy a second computer for giga studio ,I would like to get some input from people here on the best CPU for the money.
I went to pricewatch.com and I found the Pentium 800 CPU\'s for $267 and the AMD K-7 800\'s are $195 . Also the celeron 566\'s that can be overclocked to 850 are $92. Just wondering which ones are at the best price/performance ratio?
Also wondering if you overclock the celeron from 566 to 850 ,does it shorten the life of the motherboard and CPU, and increase the instability of the system? thanks , Ken
