Can you imagine what these posts look like to a newcomer?
\"ABC sounds better than XYZ\"
NO;
\"XYZ sounds better than ABC!\"
Anyway... I do own AO and have GPO on the way, I AM confident that GPO will sound much better. images/icons/wink.gif

My point exactly, Scott.
I am glad you are here.
I have AO $999.99 and I have GPO $249.99 images/icons/shocked.gif
What bothers me... is for someone to post such a negative reply about such labor. Labor of love I might add.
And this post is from someone with no credits of what he/she is the music world. I could see if this was a post by a trusted and known talent at NS. I would simply look on the post as an opinion but this, IMO, is pure DIRTY POOL.
Bela D Media may take a risk in posting an opinion but some things are worth more then order confirmed .
Like honesty and professionalism.

AO is now like $499 if you shop around. Still, twice as much, but dont\' think it\'s twice as good. I\'ll be ordering GPO WELL before I\'ll be ordering AO. images/icons/smile.gif

I am sorry. But I dont find this topic relevant, nor impartial.
Associates of BelaMedia are represented as demo makers on www.garritan.com (\"http://www.garritan.com\") - both Mr. Haynes and Mr. Lastufka. So much for \"honesty and professionalism\".

I do want to point out that I do enjoy these demos very much.

Mr. Haynes and Mr. Lastufka made those demos as USERS, after they BOUGHT GPO. So they are the ones we should really be listening to. Experienced users.

<font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana, Arial\">Isabella you first need to read the Topic titled; \"AO sounds better than GPO\" to see why this topic even exists. Even the forum administrator, Papa Chalk found that topic dubious.

If you guys just ignored posts like that instead of turning them into drawn out 10 page soap operas, we wouldn\'t have to keep seeing this kind of grade school nonsense on a daily basis.

You can\'t really put that into one sentence Francis. AO is a labor of love, too. Very impressive it still is considered by people amongst today\'s standards.

I\'m posting on this thread to let the other one die. Clearly Gandolf is an Imposter. Look at the retarded name for one. And after the one post - silence. Someone just wanted to be anal.
(huff) Gandolf - if you\'re going to be a butt at least use a name worth defaming - not gandolf - he\'s too cool. Try something stupid with some one stupid - like \"Saddam we Bomb\" or \"Musollini the Moron\" - how about we all think of a better name for our new village idiot \"Gandolf the Gooober\"!!!

I can\'t say one is better than the other, since I don\'t own AO. But I trust the comments of Frank and Alan. They\'ve proven themselves as musicians and honest dealers.
I choose the company I keep very carefully, something I learned from Bob Moog early on in my career. Everyone else can do their thing and choose one product\'s \"side\" - but I\'m on the side of time. I choose Gary\'s products becuase they hold their value over time. Look at GOS.
There\'s a future road map for GPO with upgrades and updates that I\'ve not heard about for other products. He\'s proven himself with the updates to GOS, so I see no reason to look elsewhere. I vote with my dollars that Gary is going to help me do more creative things with music, technology and budget, and that\'s the bottom line.
I purchased DIVA before I even knew that Frank and Gary had something cooking. I\'m doubly pleased that think as much of each other\'s work as I think of them. That bodes well for the future - at least for the one that I\'ve chosen.
Time will tell. images/icons/cool.gif

Houston - I just received GPO. This is great news. But I can\'t find any announcements of the pending upgrades and updates for GPO. What are they? More samples? Different instruments?
EW promises the same for Silver/Gold, but so far it is only promises.

Is Voci apart of the Garritan / Bela D Media co-development project?
Yes. Voci is a Bela D Media product that will also be sold by Garritan for GPO users.
When will this be released?
Winter 2004
<font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana, Arial\">But there\'s also the general mention from the Garritan site (\"http://www.garritan.com/features.html\"):
Expandable:
Personal Orchestra will offer new feature sets and will expand as your needs grow. Add-on instruments, features and enhancements will be offered so your investment is protected as technology progresses. <font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana, Arial\">The one thing you can count on is that Garritan delivers.

Can I take a quick poll of people\'s ages around here, becuase you\'re all acting like kids! Just use the tools you have and make some music!
And as far as professionalism goes, I really do admire Gary\'s silence during all these silly debates.
