OK.. since AO was backordered, I\'m really missing a decent flute & oboe. Anyone know where I could possibly find free flute and oboe gigs?

Thanks.

Thomas J has offered his Pan Flute and Bamboo flute. It\'s not a C flute, but they sound soooo good.

Try a search for this - they may still be available. Ofcourse, Tob has some terrific Flute FX.

I have the Project SAM Flute FX.. they\'re nice! I\'m looking for a C flute though, non-FX.. an oboe as well. I can live without the other winds for now, those are my main arsenal images/icons/smile.gif

well, when i hear the words \'backorder\' i say ..... \"thanks anyway ... i\'ll find it somewhere else\"

.... for the time being, you can build your own .... http://theremin.music.uiowa.edu/MIS.BassFlute.html (\"http://theremin.music.uiowa.edu/MIS.BassFlute.html\")

If you only bought AO because of the flutes, I\'d spent the time and wait to see what the Dan Dean Woods \"Lite\" will bring...
Otherwise build a gig with the ones provided on the uiowa site, linked by passacaglia.

Just my 2 not worthy cents...

I bought AO because a lot of people recommended it as a good \"filler\" for samples you don\'t have. Plus I heard the woodwinds were pretty good, and had some nice effects.

I would make my own gig out of those awesome uiowa sounds, but I have no clue how to do that. images/icons/smile.gif Thanks though!

Try the IOWA stuff (\"http://theremin.music.uiowa.edu/MIS.html\") . If programmed/edited correctly, that stuff sounds absolutely beautiful.

Yeah but I spent all my money on VOTA, AO, and Xsample #8 instead of Dave G\'s GigaStudio tutorial images/icons/smile.gif

Sam, I was just listening to some of your excerpts on your site. I understand you\'ve just aquired some new libraries so I was curious. What harp and woodwind samples were you using in Wyndmere? Some lovely work there, wish there was a longer clip.

You can hear a longer excerpt here: http://www.samhulick.com/Wyndmere.mp3 (\"http://www.samhulick.com/Wyndmere.mp3\")

This piece will eventually be reorchestrated with GigaStudio once I get all the samples I need.

Thanks for your interest!

passacaglia,

Everyone learns differently. I learn better by tutorials that walk you through projects. The GSEdit help file seems kind of thrown together.

Sam,

If you need tutorials, then you DEFINITELY need to get Dave Govett\'s Giga Tutorial. It\'ll get you going for sure.

the Iowa stuff is really easy to program (I haven\'t done it yet). It looks like the best place for everyone to start learning how to program with the giga editor.

Just by looking at the list of instruments and how they are posted, I know that I personally could get the whole bunch of instruments programmed within a few hours, including tuning them and maybe even some basic filters.

I tend to disagree too with that Pass!

The new Help file is really good food for the brain images/icons/smile.gif

\"new\" help file? Maybe I don\'t have that. Where can I get it?

I believe its on the nemesys site

my minds a little foggy on it right now, maybe do a search on NS for a post about it, or someone else will link to it eventually.
