PIII - 933mhz
2 - 20 gig hard drives Ata/100
256mb ram
Delta 44 - Outputs 1/2 for Cakewalk, 3/4 for GigaStudio.
Using latest version: 2.1.36
So far so good, no major problems except for an occasional \"freeze\" after a couple of hours or so.

HP 670 MHz Pentium 3
2 hard drives-8 gig for programs, 30 gig for audio
256 megs ram

No problems at all. Everything works great especially now that I\'ve got more ram.

Spec: P3-933, 384MB ram, 2 x 45GB IDE UDMA100, Terratec EWS88MT, Marian Marc2.
Since uploading 2.1.36 I\'m still getting unwanted vibrato or mod wheel effect intermittently for no reason...big Shame ! Otherwise the update is very welcome.
I\'ve had advise before about this problem from this forum (thankyou) but I just can\'t seem to cure it. Has any one else been suffering from this weird problem ? If so, is there a decent workaround for it ?

just finished building new system
Asus a7v Mobo
Athlon 1 gig
WD 7200 12 gig for sys and apps
WD 7200 40 gig ATA/100 (on the on board promise controller)
512MB Apacer RAM 133
Kaser Trio (8MB Cheapy Graphics Card)
WamiRack 24
CPU usage at 40-60% with 160 note poly (40% with some patches 60% with others)
just checked it out with OLD OLD version of gigaStudio (maybe 2.00.110 or something) This version is not supposed to work well with the WamiRack (2.01.25 has a fix). Anyhow, even tho its not supposed to work well, I get 160 voices, tho not glitch free. 120 pretty much no prob. 160 I can get on some patches, and on others it breaks up.
ex. I built a custom patch for Ultimate strings violins legato. It plays all three layers (stereo) when a key is struck and I use the Breath controller to crossfade. With this patch layered with AO violins (giga) each key is 8 voices, I can get 160 no problem with this layer with the hhold controller on.
GigaPiano, I get 160 near flawless.
However with all ports loading a Distorted reality Mega pad (A,B,C,E) It crackles at around 130. I thought it might be digital distortion, so I lowered the volume of the channel, no luck...still crackles.
I believe if I split my gigs over two ATA 100 drives in the system, I can get 160 all the time with no prob, jsut make sure that not all teh poly is comping from one drive.
I\'ll upgrade the version when I move everything over and then register...AGAIN...and then let you know whats up.

Here goes....
Cel566@850mhz
Abit BE6-II
384mb PC100 RAM
Maxtor 20gig 7200rpm (gigs + samples)
Maxtor 20gig 7200rpm (audio only)
Maxtor 10gig (os / apps)
maxtor 11gig (common data / backups)
Windows ME + 98lite IV MICRO
Echo GINA24 + SBLIVE1024 player
ATI Rage Fury 32Mb video card
USB, COM+LPT ports disabled
S/W - Gigastudio96, Cakewalk V9.03, Soundforge V4.5, various Directx plugins.
That\'s it - absolutely nothing other than music software on the machine.
Works fine - always get full 96 voices + sufficient audio before I need to render Giga to disk and play as audio only.
In a final mix the system has enough balls to play 40 X 24bit/48K audio tracks with a few plugins.
Only niggle is the odd freeze once in a while - did this before I installed Gigastudio though - and I would like a few more real time plugins (need better processor).
Hope this helps.
Brian.

How\'s this for a \"bare-bones\" system:
PII-330
192 MB Ram
Gigastudio 160
Aardvark 20/20+
2 7200 RPM Western Digital drives
I only get about 84 voices but it works great.
