Double Click Does Not Return to Center Pan

Does anyone else notice this in the MIDI Mixer? If I move the pan position and then double click it does not return to center, even if I hold down the Shift key. Did I miss the obvious?

I have a similar problem with shift clicking in the DSP station - it has no effect.
