Here\'s a fascinating demo by christianb using GPO in a unique way.

Christian describes this as an \"experiment\" to simulate string slidings reminiscent of Oriental and Indian music. Christian uses pitch bend to decorate melody lines with skillfully performed bendings. These bends and slide pitches gives the melody an Eastern touch.

This was done in Logic on a Mac. The following GPO instrumentation was used: cellos lush, cellos short bows, cellos tremolo, cellos whole trills, cello2 solo, cello1 pitz, violin 2 strad solo & violin 1 sust short.

I\'m really impressed, very strong ethnic sound... kinda reminds me of the fiddle/violin part in the theme to \"Firefly\" the western/sci-fi TV series created by Joss Wheadon (of Buffy the Vampire Slayer Fame).

Cool! I wish you woulda put some tablas in there. Add a sitar and you\'ve got the title theme for one of those Indian musical/dramas.

A couple of times I almost thought there was someone singing for split seconds!.......perhaps its the drink!
