kernel32.dll error with Cakewalk 8.0

Hi. I am experiencing a cakewalk crash with the message \"cwpa has caused an error in KERNEL32.dll\" in conjunction with gigastudio 2.0 under Windows ME. It always occurs when I am performing an editing command in cakewalk (v. 8.0).

Any ideas?
