Hi, Im fairly new to gigastudio and just trying to get my existing AKAI library running sweetly in giga format. Is there a quick way of mapping midi controllers to the parameter of your choice? (e.g like the cords page in EMU samplers). In particular I am trying to map the mod wheel to the attack speed of a sample. Sure this can be done, but Im fumbling around at the moment.
ANy help appreciated.

Hi
In general if you want to apply a parameter
or change to all regions of an instrument
start by selecting all regions.
If you want to control attack with the
MW, go to the EG Mod tab in the editors
lower right pane. From here you can assign
different controllers to both the amplitude
and filter envelope generators and choose
which portion of the EG should be affected.
(attack, decay and/or release)
Note that the filter ext.control part will be grayed out if you have\'nt assigned a
filter type on the Filter tab.
If you want to apply this setting to all
layers in the region, select Entire Region,
otherwise it only applies to the curent selected layer in the dimension window.
hope this helps you out.

Thanks for getting back to me, although im still having trouble.
Im using gigastudio and all I can see in EG/LFO1 is where I assign the mod wheel to LFO1, I cant see any way of letting attack be controlled by something.
Am I missing something ? (probably)
thanks

yes, looks like you are missing
Gigastudio ver. 2.2 :-)
Its a feature of this and later versions.
