Help...KERNEL32.DLL!!

I upgraded from GS64 to GStudio 96 and all was swell until I entered a registration key.
Now, every time the program starts it crashes and tells me:

\"GSTUDIO caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 0167:bff7a138.\"

Re-installing hasn\'t helped.

Has anyone encountered this before?

A Tascam tech suggested I reinstall Win98 and then reinstall GS96. Instead, I used the System File Checker and MS\'s register utility. And reinstalled GS96. And I was back up and running. I was already running 2.2.42, but, for the heck of it, tried running the update, anyway. It\'s been a few days and the problem hasn\'t reoccurred.

Now, after a few weeks, the problem surfaces again. Everytime the software is launched...it crashes.

I believe 2.5 is up to build 47 now. I just downloaded it. Seems fine.

I did another clean install and then applied the 2.5 patch. So far, so good.
