converting from 1.0 to 2.0 .gig files

can anybody tell me if this conversion tool in gigastudio 96 (convert .gig files from v1.0 to v2.0 format)works? every time i try,my computer locks up.

I\'ve not heard of any substantial problems with conversion. However, there\'s really no need to convert 1.0 files. Both versions will play fine in GigaStudio and I believe the 2.0 files are also backward compatible with older software - version 2 information will simply be ignored by an older GigaSampler version.
