Hi,

After doing conversions to halion and EXS24 mk II I must say that Kontakt has been the far easiest sampler to work with. I just spend 2 days on it - and made native programming while learning it for the first time! This is FAST.
I also think it is very flexible with ram versus HD streaming.

So far thumbs up. The next weeks I will convert my bass libraries and they are FAR more advanced. It will be interesting to see how this works. I wonder how it will react with program changes...

Anyway - well done NI.

How did you fare with the DFD? I can far better results with it disabled. I was eyeing up your piano samples, but worry that I would not be able to use them because of severe processor peaks when DFD is active. I can, however, always get the giga version too.
Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris Caouette:

I\'m on PC (P4/2000) Win XP.

I tried one of my Rhodes demoes (shuffle Rhodes) which uses about 45 notes polyfony. Everything over 120 KB pr. voice (buffer) worked great.

If the buffer was smaller it would get stutter.

The big Rhodes version is 2.4 GB - so without DFD (streaming) you would need A lot of RAM images/icons/wink.gif
