This tutorial is really remarkable. The design is excellent and well presented. It's neat how the thumbnails are in a single view that can be enlarged by a click of the mouse.

I am glad to know that GPO works with Tracktion. Not many are familiar with Tracktion and perhaps we should include a GPO-Tracktion page.

Thanks Shaz for doing this. Your tutorial is exceptional. Now all we need are the Vikings.

Nice work Shaz! Now, are you using Tracktion exclusively? Nah, I'm still only messing with the demo, actually. But I've been looking for something with some more capabilities (and fewer strange glitches) than Cubasis and was going to get Sonar, but for $100 less, I'll probably just go for Tracktion, as I do like it a lot and it seems to work well with GPO. But I'm taking my time and trying some different programs before making a decision. I definitely recommend trying out the Tracktion demo if you're looking for something. It's a cool interface and nice that you can do everything just in the one screen.

Glad you guys like the tutorial. I was just in a gung ho screen capture mode, so I figured I'd whip this up while I was figuring out how to use GPO with Tracktion. I'll try to redo the Cubasis/GPO Studio tutorial in this style sometime soon.

Ok, you can use GPO, and Studio but can you use GOSlite as well? ORRRRRRRRRR!!~! Does one STILL need FULL kontakt, GIGA, HALion or whatever to run GOSlite?
Now that would be cool!

Well, wait a minute. Hold the phone... I haven't tried GOS Lite in Tracktion yet. It does have a sampler included with it. I'm not sure if it can handle Giga samples like the VSampler I have can, but I will certainly try it tonight and let you know...

Sorry Mike, but I didn't get a chance to try out GOS Lite with Tracktion last night, but I'll do it first thing when I get home tonight. So keep holding the phone and depositing quarters... :p

Sorry Mike, but the sampler in Tracktion does not support Giga format. You can hang up now.
