I am running GS2.5 on Win XP Pro. I have an Asus A7m266-D MoBo with 2 Athlon 1800+ processors, and 512MB RAM (soon to be more). I have optimized the system using the guide from Tascam, and I have usd Cacheman to further tweak the system... and I am still having problems.
When I try to launch Giga, it USUALLY freezes. Sometimes it will launch OK, but even then it is vvvvveeerrrryyyy ssssllllloooowwwww to load up.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

Hmmm. When I run the diagnostics (which load up no problem), I find the following messages:
Registry location: Software\\NemeSys\\Hardware\\Settings
Software\\NemeSys\\Hardware\\Settings - Missing Registry Key
and, later:
Registry location: Software\\NemeSys\\GigaSampler\\Settings
Software\\NemeSys\\GigaSampler\\Settings - Missing Registry Key
Could this have anything to do with my problems?

Yes, it could have something to do with your crash...
Groovy sounding machine when you get it working...

Heh heh. That\'s what I\'m hoping....
I have another computer that seems to run GS fine, but it is also missing those keys, so now I\'m thinking that maybe that\'s not it.
