Are people putting mics in an agreed upon place to capture hall\room reverb that will be convolved?
In other words: are the mics placed where the instrument will sit, so the verb is heard from a player's perspective, or are the mics placed near the center of the room\hall, and the blanks fired (assuming that one shoots blanks...) near where the instrument sits?
