Hi,
well how does it work at all? I\'m trying to figure it out with the kontakt demo, but don\'t manage to convert a single file. This program seems very enigmatic to me... why is there nothing like \"import -> giga\"... Can someone please explain?
Markus.
With Kontakt, you can forget about any standard interface conversions…
Find the gig file in the “browser”. Expand it to show <programs> and <samples>. Highlight <programs>. In the lower section of the browser, you’ll see the available Instruments. Double click, or drag the desired instrument into the Kontakt instrument rack.

Thank you, Bill. I found this on the NI forum:
\"Navigate to the directory where the .gig file is. Click the + next to the .gig file. You will see two virtual folders below it: programs and samples. Click on programs. Now in the bottom half of the pane, you will see actual programs that Kontakt is able to import. There may be one or several, depending on how the .gig was designed.\"
But it seems as if the demo version cannot do this operation.
Hi Markus,
How far in the proccess can you get?

Hi Bill,
the demo cannot save the file. When I drop program to the left of the screen, I have to save the file, so I doesn\'t work. Never mind I\'ll try it with the demo sounds...
Best,
Markus.
If you turn of the DFD feature, it should load the gig instruemnt without having to save.
