Nice. It's certainly not everything, but these are solid improvements.

I hope the crucial bugs are going to be fixed with version 3.02.

I'd love to see a list of bugs that Tascam knows exists and are working to fix. Then we would know what we still need to bring to their attention and what we can just wait patiently for.

Although I don't think that's gonna happen. I'll try to reach customer service again by email, summing them another list of bugs.

After all the heartache about GS3.00 shipment dates, I kinda hope they keep quiet and just deliver solid updates when they're ready.

Great suggestion JBacal!
As painful as it might be for Tascam, a comprehensive list of known bugs would surely cut down on calls to tech support complaining about the same issues - as well as reduce the apprehension we all feel when we are unsure as to whether or not the problem is a function of our particular hardware platform - or the application itself.

According to VSL forum http://vsl.co.at/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3865
New patch 3.02 also coming shortly which will fix some rewire issues.

Too bad that document is not comprehensive. It makes no mention of around a half dozen bugs experienced unilaterally by users on this forum.
Don't get me wrong, I love what I can do with this program today http://northernsounds.com/forum/images/icons/icon7.gif - and I'm excited about how it will evolve with the help of time.....
....but just think for a moment about what the GS3 experience would be like if they had actually released it into the marketplace on time - and didn't spend an additional 6 months tweaking the bugs.

Now we need 6 month because lots of people reporting the bugs. It they didn't release it , we had been take another 2 years to bug-free version of it.

If that's all they're admitting to then they're ignoring a number of well-known bugs that have been widely aired on this forum and others - including -
- the dreaded BSOD on machines with 2Gb of memory
- the fact that the settings in the Bank/Patch Manager are not saved with the performance file (making the Bank/Patch Manager a complete waste of space)
- the fact the program change messages in the MIDI input stream are as often as not ignored
I agree with Jay that a list of known bugs would be invaluable - but there's no point in doing it if it's not complete.
