Hello,

Does anybody know of a good book covering film scoring techniques? I am interested in the musical side only, not the business side of the activity as I only want to read it to fulfill my own curiosity.

Thank you in advance for any recommendation,
Pierre

Pierre,
There is a Composers Music Forum that has discussions on this topic. I am sorry I do not have the link. Maybe one of the other people around here can help post the link to Mike Kelly's Composers Music Forum or you could do a search.
Hope this helps.

On the Track: A Guide to Contemporary Film Scoring
by Fred Karlin, R. Wright

Payed a fortune for my hardcover copy many years ago..
I think there is a cheaper paperback version out now.

oopps. yea.. On the Track is what I meant. And the new one has been completely updated with modern technology, FYI.

PierreHey, Pierre,

I don't know what the availability is on their European sites, but Amazon.com in the states has it available shipping in 24 hours, $60(US).
