Hey man,

I have been hearing these rumours about giga dithering 24 bit files down to 16 bit internally...is that true ?

GigaStudio 2.5 does this. You import the 24 bit files into the editor and when you map out and save the gig file, it then dithers everything to 16 bit. At that point, the samples are locked into 16 bit inside the gig file but of course the original samples that are on the hard drive, which you import into the editor are still safe at 24 bit.
I believe Giga 3.0 will finally have actual 24 bit playback.
