We're almost at 35,000 posts already!
What will the winner receive? A library? An action hero? (I'm running out of prizes). http://www.northernsounds.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Good luck!

How about a small house on Orcas so the winner can be the first person to get any new products or updates that come out. I think around 3500 ft.sq. ought to do the trick. :D

WOW - it seems just like yesterday 27,000 was around the corner. These milestones are happening with a lot more frequency, no? That is good. It means more people are coming here and are finding it a nice place to visit and get help and share wonderful music.
:)

I'm trying to remember which milestone was around when I first came here.... Either way, I'm loving all these new people that are coming around.

You should write a book (or maybe just start a thread) about how to become the xx,0000th poster. You've got it down pretty good. :D ;)

Here are some tips . . . :D
1) Spamming is always an option, but if there are several people spamming along with you, it's all up to luck. I tried to win a few times and failed before my first win came, which was 24,000, which was over the summer I believe. This time it looked like a couple of people were spamming in various threads. Also, you've got to wait 60 seconds between each post, so look at a watch or a clock for maximum effeciency.
2) Open several windows, of course. Have one window show the main Northern Sounds forum page, which will show how many posts are in the 'Garritan Orchestral Libraries' sub-forum. The refresh button is your friend, hit it often to see when and if new posts have come up.
3) In another window, prepare your winning post. You can only really prepare one or two, because you do have that 60 second time restriction.
4) Wait for the post count to get close to the thousandth, and post away at about xx,997 or xx,998 or xx,999! It also depends on how many people are online trying to win at the same time, so you may even have to post away sooner. Again, hit that refresh button quickly to see if you won! Sometimes you might not be able to tell. Waiting can be hard, because there are most likely others waiting with you. You very well could be trapped in a stalemate, and one of you will have to be brave enough to start posting spam but sacrafice the chance of winning. It's all up to you . . .
5) Pray! After all, it's all about luck!
Happy posting and good luck! :D Now please listen to my symphony and tell me what you think! :D
