I'd call VSL and beg for a really good crossgrade deal.

Thanks Bruce, christian from the vsl forum just replied about an "an interesting sidegrade option being announced soon".

I hope "soon" is in the next couple of months. We've been buried in a nasty & massive project for 6 months and VSL ESX is just pullin' the mac down too much.

Been a giga user since @2000 and we're getting insane great (400 ~ 475 voice) performance out of 3! VSL ESX works great but it's time to switch and stop asking the G4's & 5's to do EVERYTHING - ALL - AT - ONCE - INSTANTLY - ALL - THE - TIME!

I was worried I'd become a 6'1" rubber chicken!

Ilio said it would be $3,000.00

But the VSL people say something like 15% (something around $800).

My money's on the VSL info.

Thanks for the reply Lee but I already HAVE the Cube and the Perf (Pro Editions) so I'm not sure.....

Anyway I can wait - I'm going from ESX to Giga and according to VSL I keep both formats (Giga, ESX) so that approximate $800 fee for switching just may very well be THE actual upcoming news regarding crossgrading.

I'm REALLY anxious about MIR - that's going to rock!
