View Full Version : Using tiny mp3 player to record music ideas?

I wonder if anyone here is (already) using one of those tiny, 50 dollar USB mp3 players to record musical ideas, for instance to hum in some melody or to record some stuff on the piano at home...

Quality is not an issue, but I can imagine that the speech recording facilities of these tiny things are not (yet) adequate for this purpose.

Any comments?

Peter,

I spent a bit more and got a Sony Clie palm thingy.
It records wave files but low quality ones.

Point is- that I have itunes playlists of all these ideas. It is about the most effective idea cataloging system I have found.
I am looking at the ipod microphone to record direct to ipod.

sure you knew all this but just wanted to affirm that these types of recorders plus itunes made a big impact on my work flow.
