I am looking for percussion samples of 'found' percussion using metallic objects found in junkyards (oil drums, rakes, brake drums, etc.)
I actually -really- like the demos of Jeff Rona's Liquid Cinema Junkyard but it is only loops and I need HITS.
The only other thing I could fine was something called Tool Shed Percussion @ BigFish but the demos did not kill me.
Anyone know of other options? (Yes I -could- record some things myself, but they really don't have the PUNCH that a well-recorded lib does, plus I don't happen to have 55 gal drums laying about just now. ;)
TIA,
---JC

Here are some good options:
Junkyard Rhythms (kits and loops)
(info)http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0KYX/is_2002_July_1/ai_88684015
(link to buy) http://www.audiomidi.com/common/cfm/product.cfm?pid=3376
AI Beat the Bushes
http://www.attitudei.com/ccp5/cp-app.cgi?pg=prod&ref=Experiment1
Both are nice sets - especially for the price.
And, at BolderSounds you can download some great, small (& free) sets (garden tools, washer & dryer, and slate hits)

I have the Acid Loops Junkyard Rhythms and like it a lot. Another thing you can do, especially if you like the loops you have, is to use an editor to isolate the various hits and make your own kits.
Take Care
