Where can I find the lastest "Instruments" for GPO?

I've upgraded Kontakt player but don't find the instruments anywhere.

Thanks

You didn't tell us what computer you are using. Here is where you will find it on a PC. Program Files\ Garritan Personal Orchestra\GPO Library\Instruments. Mac will be something similar. Just look under GPO, not Kontakt.

Are you able to use the instruments? That could be a different problem.

Sorry, I mean the latest updated "Instruments" on the web. Like in the support section at Garritan. But I can't find them anywhere.

yes, I was on that page 4 or 5 times yesterday looking for the "instruments" but couldn't find them.

I found the link to NI for the KontaktPlayer update. I found the link to the optional "X-custom optional" instruments.

Are the instruments that go with the latest update from NI the same as came with the original (November 2003) GPO?

Or specifically, which link takes me to the "instruments?"

Thanks

They are not exactly the same. The update improves some features of existing instruments, by adding a lot more control on them, and it also adds new patches (like key switched instruments, full strings, or aggressive strings and brass).

So, to answer your question: yes, the kontakt player update will give you the new GPO.

Oh, OK. So, the NI update provides the instrument update as well.

I thought that if I updated the instruments my Logic crashes would stop. I see that's not the case.

That kinda makes programming GPO in Logic 7 impossible.

I don't have an answer, but I know there has been discussion of Logic in this forum, and I think Tom Hopkins mentioned that some of the changes were made specifically because of Logic issues. So, try posting your problem on the Technical Support page of this forum, because he is more likely to see it there.

Maybe helpful, maybe not, I don't know anything about Logic 7, but noticed this thread.
