Hi...

I'm trying to program my sliders to the CC's I want, so that I can control the 'expression', "modulation" etc for my samples.

I just have no clue how to do it, and the manual isent really that helpful... any help? :)

Thanks

can you tell me how the keyboard works for you.
I would like 88 keys but not heavy weighted action.
my fatar SL-161 has survived years of beating.

Well... I first bought the M-Audio Pro88, but swapped it for the VMK-88. The Pro88 was simply too large - its quite a beast - plus I thought I would like the weighted keys, but I dident. Found out I prefere semi-weighted. But I guess thats because i'm not a piano player...

So so far I'm really happy with it apart from not being able to get the controllers to do what I want them to, and that I havent found where I can set the velocity on it - If thats possible at all.

No, using cubase... but it shouldnt be all that hard. Ive tried program a sloider for expression, and it simply does not work. Same with modulation. :(

Do you have the same manual as the one on the studiologic.net site?

You'll have to know the control parameter number of the parameter you want to control in advance, for example, I think modulation is controller number 1.

Let's go through it. For example, to set slider 1 (of bank A) to controller number 1 on channel 1, the manual states this:
1. press 'Edit'
2.1. press 'bank A'
2.2. move slider 1 (so the vmk knows which slider you want to program)
2.3. turn the big dial until the display states 'midi channel: 1'.
3.1 press 'page up'
3.2 turn the big dial until the display states 'Ctrl change: 1'.
4.1 press 'page up'
4.2 turn the big dial until the display states 'Value Min: 0'.
5.1 press 'page up'
5.2 turn the big dial until the display states 'Value Max: 0'.
6.1 press 'page up'
6.2 turn the big dial until the display states 'Polarity: DN>UP'.
7 press 'storage'
8.1 press 'enter'
8.2 change the preset number if you will with the big dial
9 press 'storage'
10 press 'enter'
