View Full Version : Best Beatcounter App for PC - ACID's BPM Counter is lying!

greez,

i just recognized that S.F. ACIDīs beatcounter function doesnt work at all! when u compare the indicated bpm with the bpm u get from an outboard beatcounter (e.g. integrated in most DJ mixing desks) it s just miles away from the real bpm that the outboard beatcounter reveals images/icons/frown.gif

now i urgently need an app for PC that does better than ACID. please tell me which app u think is best for beatcounting functions (i wanna pass loops through it and also entire nonlooped music trax).

has \"Ableton\" a good beatcounting function? or \"Nuendo\"? \"Recycle\" doesnt have one i already checked...

Hi, i think Ableton as a pretty good beat counter, i never detected anything wrong in it personnaly.

can ableton handle also non 4/4 beats very exactly. i remarked ACID is not made for any non 4/4 beats... so thats where my prob is at...

If i rememeber well (i\'m not at my daw now) yes, ableton support different odd signature from 3/4 to 17/16 or something like this... sorry cannot be more specific... images/icons/smile.gif

Acid does NOT lie, but BPM measurement depends on several facts that can change between a software and another (I should say from a company to another).
hardware and software does not manage the same way BPM, it seems.
