good, can't wait to get them in Europe!!
Just noticed that Spectrasonics have quietly added a 'phone support option for when you really need it....just one more improvement, thank you!
Any news on the forthcoming additional videos for RMX?
-thanks!

Well, now that Ilio has "officially" released their expanders, can we assume an update to the SAGE converter is close at hand, for those of us that already own the Ilio titles in the Akai or Roland format?

Ilio has not released S.A.G.E. Xpanders, they have ANNOUNCED them.
The press release I see says "...will be shipping in March"

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it announced with the release of RMX that the SAGE converter for the Ilio titles, would be released by NAMM?
Or was I dreaming this...?
I haven't heard anything about a delayed release, or if Spectrosonics is timing the SAGE converter release to occur with the "actual" release of the EXP libraries.
Anyone have any definitive info they can share?

That was Eric's original target. Unless you hear otherwise, I would trust the Press Release.

Please just hit me if this is a stupid question, but is Burning Grooves already available as an Xpander library?
I have one other question, which might not be on the table for discussion, Eric; but I was curious as to the technigues that you (any and all at Spectrasonics) are using to convert loops into to RMX/S.A.G.E. format - Are you utilizing Recycle, or something designed in-house. I ask because I've come to truly realize and appreciate the incredible abilities of Recycle, if one is willing to be very patient and meticulous with regards to making dead-concise slices for conversion.
TIA!

As far as I'm aware, Burning Grooves, Backbeat, Liquid Grooves, and Metamorphosis are all out as Xpanders.. at least, you can buy them on audiomidi.com currently.

Speaking of Burning Grooves...I asked this awhile back and it got lost in the mix somewhere and I'm still curious so here goes....In the mp3 demo around 1.03 I really like the sliding bass and I LOVE the guitar sound around 1.20....Are these sample CDs like Legends/Zimmer or is it real players? I'd be surprised if the guitar section wasn't a live player....Thanks for the insight

Yipeeeeee!
:D :D
There is a down side to this though -
I have spent more hours jamming with RMX (and not WORKING)......
And now I will have even more food for rmx...........
I will likely end up homeless and broke all due to having to much fun with RMX!

Pls, does anybody drop me a headache pill ?!? Maybe I lost myself somewhere...
I have for sure Liquid Grooves, Backbeat and Metamorphosis SAGE-Xpr's.
Then at http://www.spectrasonics.net/instruments/stylusrmx.html and at http://www.bestservice.de/detail.asp/en/sage/burning_grooves/953182a156p14p253p101 I see that Burning Grooves is already available as SAGE-Xpr format (89,00 Euro), along with Retro Funk.
What's goin' on the new production about BG?
Eric, don't you think it's time to update the Libraries page on spectrasonics.net to include the 5 (4?) new formats.... ;)

Burning Grooves is listed on the distributors web site, but it's not quite finished yet.
Couple of weeks and you should be able to get it.
Working on new Xpander specific pages for the site and new demos too.
all the best,

All the Bass in that demo is from Bass Legends and a real Minimoog.
The Guitars are a combination of real guitar tracks, Roland JD-990, Hans Zimmer Guitars and Zero-G Funk Guitar

Hey eric,
great to see you here on this forum :-)
I want to ask you something, I've just heard some demos from metamorphosis and I was particulary intringued by one called "meta-dreams" (3rd demo I think). Are all those sounds coming from that library? What about the vocal part?

Glad you like that demo :-) It was one of the first demos I made solely on a Powerbook with only the EXS24.
The ambient sounds are a combination of Distorted Reality 2, Symphony of Voices and Bizarre Guitar.
The Vocal is one of the Middle Eastern performances from Vocal Planet.
All the rhythmic stuff is Metamorphosis of course.

Thanks very much eric, that demo is amazing :-)

Just checking in...
Is there a definitive ETA on the update of the SAGE expander, to facilitate the Ilio titles?
