Soft-electronic strings?

The strings...they don't sound like real instruments (not to me, anyways) they sound like "electronic" or soft strings, but how does one get that sound? (Not for orchestral purposes, of course). Since they don't really sound like real strings (to me) than I don't think any orchestral libraries could get (or want) a sound like that, they have a sort of soft sound to them, and my keyboards don't have sounds like that either. Does anyone know?

Try to find a Roland JV 1080 on ebay - lots of that on that outboard rack mount.

I would also recommend, if you can still find them, the Roland Orchestral Strings sample library. Same family as the JV1080 but more variations.
