I use Sound Forge 6.0 as my audio editor. When I try to edit a sample using GS Instrument Editor by right clicking on the sample and choosing \"edit audio\" it opens Sound Forge but it does not display a wav file - it displays nothing! This is the case with any sample I try to open for editing. What am I doing wrong?

Also, why do some samples have red wav icons and some green wav icons? I see that only the red ones have the option of editing - what does this mean?

Thanks,
Mike

Red colored files are normal stereo samples. Green ones are compressed samples (Dan Dean and some of Gigaharp comes to mind) and can not be edited.

That is definitely peculiar behavior. I don\'t have a solution but, as a workaround, you might try exporting the sample, editing it, and then doing a replace sample function in the Giga editor.
