Thanks, Herman, for making these fine samples available to us. I'm having trouble downloading the Tarka, but I guess the problem is on my end.
Anyway, I'm very appreciative.

Thanks Dasher.
Hi Carl,
I'm not encountering any problems with any of the Tarka versions. If the problem continues, don't hesitate to contact me.

Finally got it! On about the fourth try. My computer, undoubtedly.
Thanks again.

Marvellous Demo Herman. The quality of your samples sounds superb. I hope I have the time to download them sometime soon. Thanks!:) Will you be doing Kontakt versions at any point or is GS going to be the mainstay for the medium term?

Thanks Frank.
I program in GS3 myself, while Alan Lastufka and Paul Waring have been supplying me with Kontakt versions. I don't have the bandwidth to host the full Kontakt files, so with the newer patches you'll have to use a conversion program to extract the waves out of the giga version. Watch this thread for an update on the new Kontakt files.

There are now Kontakt files available for the Tin Whistle and the Indian Whistle.

I've thought about sampling my Khaen at home (the proper name for the Thai Mouth Organ) - it is one of the oldest free-reed instruments still in existance. Granddaddy of the accordian and pipe organ!
I'm very intersested to try this out when I get home - thank you!

It was some sort of Kaen, but a more primitive version, with a smaller range.
Anyway, I've just recorded a Russian Zither, fingerpicked, plucked and bowed ;-)
