Any suggestions for headphones that are appropriate for the Hoontech dig amp, and which will capture the full spectrum undistorted of my gigsampler Steinway B work (for monitoring purposes)?

The Sony Professional (MDR-7506) are a good choice. We use them here for critical listening and they are all over the NAMM shows too. By the way, for a quiet headphone amp, the RANE amps seem to be the quietest in our experience. You can have the volume 3/4 up and wonder if the power is even on.
