Midi windcontroller

Can a midi wind controller such as the Yamaha wx-5 be used and can the breath control parameters be tweaked for the Advanced Orchestra woodwinds and brass?
I need this info to complete my volume equipment purchase for studio. Thanks to whoever responds.
