I have a fast P III machine and have just bought a second hard drive. Is it better to use the first(master) or the second (slave) drive for the gig files?

Get one GIGA only dedicated Drive.
It\'s easier to get an overview and to make
BackUp of your sounds.
Then you have the feeling of a HardwareSampler
not seeing anything of your Operating System (almost).
And for streaming it\'s also an advantage if nothing of
your System is on the Giga-Disk.
Sometimes formatting and defragmenting is needed - that\'s
also easier with a GIGA dedicated Drive.
Hope that helps
Manfred

OK Manfred, but does it make a difference which one of the drives is the master and which one is the slave?
Thanks,
Mitch
what is best:
C: win98 + GS1.6
D: gigs
or
C:win98
D: GS1.6 + gigs

It doesn\'t really matter, as long as your swapfile isn\'t on the same disk as your GIG files...
