I think the Strad price will be in the $200 to $250 range, won't it? Gary was fishing at CES at the $250 level, and I seem to remember $199 being mentioned around NAMM.

Don't hold Gary to these numbers though. I don't set his pricing!

From the Strad page at www.garritan.com ... "The Garritan Stradivari Violin is expected to be available during the Spring of 2005 for an Introductory Price of $199.00."

I am of the opinion Gary better start at $250 to compensate for the ascendance of the Euro over the $$$$. Note that many European makers of sounds have recently adjusted from $30 US to $50 US and from $50 US to $100 US as a base.

Although I am pinched for cash -- Gary had better make some money on th exchange rate if we want ANY affordable development or exposition done using European forums or ensembles that may be needed in the future.
