I should really go to bed . . . but once again, I'm up late writing music :D Of course, now my internal clock will once again go haywire and I'll be tired all week . . . :o

Well, this old fogey is here, trying to figure out why I deleted some old sound font files, cause now I will have to download them again! But this time, even though I may not use them, I will!! save them. Maybe.

No . . . must . . . compose . . . :D You're probably right, though :D I'm on a roll, though, I finished planning out the entire piece and all I have left is to harmonize and orchestrate (which both take forever  ) The piece is about 6:00 so far, a pretty long one for me! :D Maybe I'll call it a night soon . . .

Stephanie Pray
04-09-2005, 02:13 AM
As you can tell, it's been a long time since I've done anything with a length longer than a minute :D It's a tough call... if you're on a roll you should probably keep going. I know that if I stop when I'm on a roll, I never seem to get rolling quite the same way as I was before I stopped. :)

SeanHannifin
04-09-2005, 02:20 AM
Then on I go! :D I also need to do some laundry . . . machines tend to be more available in these wee morning hours :D

Stephanie Pray
04-09-2005, 02:21 AM
Laundry at this hour? I guess if the machines are open now would be a great time to do it. :)

SeanHannifin
04-09-2005, 02:29 AM
Just as I had hoped! All the machines are free! Laundry time! :D

Stephanie Pray
04-09-2005, 02:30 AM
Whoopie! :) Laundry time :) (hopefully, your socks can't walk there themselves!);)

SeanHannifin
04-09-2005, 02:41 AM
Well, the laundry's in! That will ensure I stay up late! :D 30 minutes in the machine, then 45 more in the dryer . . . whew

Stephanie Pray
04-09-2005, 02:43 AM
You're in for a late night... I hope you have some coffee on :) I'm getting pretty bored and should probably go to bed soon. The dogs are outside the studio door whining... they get mad if I keep them up too late :D

SeanHannifin
04-09-2005, 02:47 AM
I'm going to be so tired in the morning, I might have to sleep all day . . . but then again, I was planning to go to Washington DC to look at a museum as a homework assignment in one of my classes . . . I guess it will be a long day! :D

And my goodness, it is way too humid in these dorms! I'm starting to sweat! It's cold outside, the window is open, and the air conditioner is on right next to me, and I'm still way too hot . . . :( It's hard to sleep in these conditions anyway . . .

Stephanie Pray
04-09-2005, 02:51 AM
That sounds miserable! There isn't much humidity here in Colorado. Usually really dry. :( I know that my computer can heat up the room as well as when I'm really concentrating, that makes it worse too :) Maybe if you run outside for a minute that would help??

SeanHannifin
04-09-2005, 02:54 AM
Yeah, I might have to go outside for a while . . . :D And I'm sure having these two computers constantly heating up the room doesn't help at all . . . dorm life stinks . . . oops, my whiny troll! :D

Oh, duh- never mind

FredProgGH

BTW, I lived in Denver (Littleton, actually) for about 7 years- making the transition to Tennessee weather almost killed me. You do not KNOW humidity until you move here. Only Florida is worse. And New Orleans.

Yeah, I must feed it too much. I have a tendency to whine a lot, forgive me :D The lazy and selfish trolls also make their presence known once and a while . . . oh, no, now I'm whining about the trolls!

Stephanie Pray
04-09-2005, 03:01 AM
2 in a row for me and I didn't even realize that it was that time again!! :) 58,000!!!

There's a thread here about not feeding the trolls. It's a story that has different forms (sometimes the trolls are wolves etc). I can't explain the story right now... my mind just went completely blank. :(

My father was stationed in Florida years ago, since he's in the Coast Guard. Our family was going to move there, but the schools were terrible, the houses were too pricy, and my mother was pregnant, so we stayed in Virginia, while my father still had to work in Florida. That was miserable!

The whiny troll is having a lot of fun tonight! :D

Man. you don't know what a bullet you dodged. Of course, living on the beach is OK- you have that sea breeze. But inland Florida?? I'd rather die *lol* And the bugs. Mosquitos as big as your head. Swarms of them. Uggghh. :D

Downloads done. Now I remember why I didn't keep them. Well, dog is waiting for her midnight activity. So on with the raincoat, and out to the bushes and weeds.

My grandson is in Colorado, at a Buddhist something or other. But I couldn't say where, as I have spent little time in that state, and business matters kept me quite busy. I remember mostly that I had to sleep with a damp washcloth on my nose because the air was so dry in Colorado Springs.

But you. You seem like a striking young lady. No date or anything?

Sorry if too personal. You don't have to answer. I'm a very nosey person from time to time.

By the way. When's your next piece of music coming? I'm going to do an experiment next. I'm going to do some music just to satisfy my own curiosity. I haven't written music just for me in a while. I'm curious to find out where I'm at these days.

Still, it's good to get the laundry done now, it's usually really crowded, even during this time of day (night, morning, whatever).

Well I did a rough before I left for the flick, but I told the producer I let her hear a rough before it airs.

In regards to the movie Ms. Maestro: Hmmmm well yeah. I mean Elijah Wood aint no Frodo in this bad boy! But the violence is very over the top. Gory but not realistic
The only other Frank Miller stuff I had read was Dark night. This was a very good film, but over the top. It kinda remind me of Kill Bill, but Rodriguez isn't braggin like I felt Tarantino did. good, see it agian, no.

OH yeah there is this modern noior music. it kind of reminds me of that group Morphine with the Baritone Sax.
