I need to built a machine to take on the road and was wondering if the following machine would be adequate to run Gigasampler and Cubase VST. I need about 16-24 audio tracks + Giga and Midi at the same time.
Pentium III/550, 2 x Maxtor Diamond max + 20.4 ATA/66 HD, Asus P3B-f Motherboard, 256 Mb ram. Ican I get a way with not using SCSI HD ??? Thanks

Hi AV:
I\'m sorry I can\'t answer your question, but I did want to make you aware of one caveat: The Asus P3B-F motherboard does NOT have a UDMA66 controller on it... it\'s UDMA33. So you\'ll need to get a controller card and disable the on-board controller to take full advantage of your hard drive.
