I am currently running my Gigastudio 160 2.5 on a PC

and Logic 6 on my dual cpu G4

I want to integrate my system so I have access to the huge library of Giga files all at once (unlike my current setup where I constantly have to reload libraries into my Giga PC then load up different layers in Logic)

How is this possible? Mach Five? Converting all Giga files to EX? I am even considering buying the fastest G5 available and updating my whole studio.

Please let me know

thanks,

THat shouldn't be too difficult. I've seen the experienced ones filling their PCs with six large Yds, in RAID, so that they read as three very large HDs. Three pairs of 100GB SATAs will give you three 200GB drives.
Strings on one, Percussion on another, Brass on the third ....

If you still need more room, a rack of external Lacie FireWire drives will add to your real estate.

Sound FX on a fourth externally .... endless possibilities .... :D

I don't think you understand. I already have enough room on my PC to store all my Giga Stuff. But Gigastudio's RAM only goes to 33% with 2.5 and to 66% with 3.0.

I want to be able to access ALL my sounds at once with Logic on Mac.

This means I need a sampler to be able to have every single one of my sounds right there, then I can create a HUGE layer for Logic to read it

And my PC's RAM is not the problem, I got dual 400 3 gigs of RAM thats enough to plummet the world

On a MAC, your choices are Halion, Kontakt and MachFive. I imagine they all have demo versions you can download and tryout.
