View Full Version : Still no stars?

 You would think that with all the help I try to give for Logic users and even posting two tutorials on Garritan.com I would at least get one star. Hell, even Sean has a star! :(

Duh!

I checked the FAQs but couldn't find anything...so someone help relieve me of at least a portion of my ignorance...What's a "reputation level" and how does it change?

I think the idea is that the more reputation you have the better person you are or something silly like that :D It changes by people adding to your reputation using the symbol the smilies are pointing to below . . .

Well - I just added to everone's rep that posted in this thread (except 2112 - cause I've given him too much already according to what a certain software's definition of 'is' is. http://www.northernsounds.com/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif )

The nice thing is that there doesn't seem to be a way to take away reputation! There was a similar system in another forum I use to post in, and I got a bunch of stars, but then I got into religion and politics, and they began to magically disappear . . . :D

When you've accumulated 5 stars, you can cash them in for a free ice cream cone at Mc Donald's.

Honestly everyone, you mean more to this forum than a couple of stars! I've been spreading around rep to everyone for a week now. In my book you all deserve a universe full!

I hear once you reach ten stars you automatically SUPER NOVA!

Photoshop is fun, isn't it?! :D

I think if one of your posts gets reported as a 'bad post' then you get stars taken away. I think. I'm just guessing here.
I won't mention any names, but I saw one person with a red box under their name instead of a black one.

I'm not really sure how it all works, but it doesn't really matter all that much.

Sean,

I wish that I had just a tiny amount of your graphics abilities. It may be Photoshop but Photoshop doesn't do the actual work. http://www.northernsounds.com/forum/images/icons/icon7.gif

Thanks,

PARTY AT FABIOS' HOUSE!:D

Yeah, come on!

You must know that the only other forum I frequent is the Italian Homebrewer forum, and I've some bottle to share...

About wine, you don't need more infos, I'm venetian...

Then just let me ask the wife to prepare some sandwich, and let the party begin...

Fabio, how are you with Pasta Fagioli? When it's done right, it is the world's best soup.

Fabio

Yes I agree.

It's quite central Italian, wonderful balance of good beans, onions and spices...

Mine also is not so bad, believe me... :DA

I wonder when a person actually gets a star? I just looked at my profile out of curiosity and saw that I have four positive feedbacks, but zero reputation points.

Of course Sean, in Italy you can drink what you want, and where you want... (but don't create confusion when you are drunk...contradiction? No, Optimism... :D )

I gave Fabio a click on the cabbage -- his beard is very good, so he deserves this. (Anyone with a good beard, well, it only makes sense that they would have a good reputation, too.)

Does anyone know why they use a cabbage for this?

Well just to add to this mystery of reputation, it seems even I have one. I turned my rep on out of curiosity and somehow there's already a star after my phenomenal contribution of 3 posts! Heheh, someone must have been nice to me, I hardly feel worthy

It is the natural generosity of the Great Cabbage, my friend...
an encouragement to reach for lofty heights -- and, of course,
fine sauerkraut.

I just looked at mine. How come they're swastikas, not stars? Is that what happens when your reputation goes negative!!http://www.northernsounds.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

PS Why on earth would anyone want stars? Status? Beats me (then again a lot of things do!)
