Pentium 4 is now avalible

Any one know the difference between the pentium 3 and 4 and I wonder about compatability and performance with Gigastudio .

So I hear, the Pentium 4 has a lot of abilities that few pieces of software will be able to take advantage of. The P4 has been known to run SLOWER than the P3, too, at comperable speeds! So, the question is, do you want to spend twice as much on a chip that probably won\'t be taken advantage of (to its full potential), or do you want to go with the competitor. I\'m lookin at AMD, myself.
