MIDI DROPOUTS

I have a PIII866 w/256MB RAM.
Using a Delta 10/10 w/ Cakewalk.
Experiencing MIDI DROPOUTS when sustaining notes with a piano or a rhodes sound. Why does this happen? Thanks to anyonew who helps me out!

This seems to be a very common problem with Cakewalk. I experienced the exact same thing when I was working with Cakewalk which is why I have completely switched to Cubase which is much more stable. Although I miss some of Cakewalks features, Cubase satisfies 99% of my needs and it doesn\'t use as many resources(RAM) as Cakewalk. A clever change, if you ask me!
