Ableton Live 4 as a VST Tempo Locked Host???

Comrades,

Looking into alternatives to VStack (and forte). A friend casually suggested using Live as a host....which got me thinking.....

Anyone doing this with OSX/LAP 7 and Ableton on the PC VST hosts?

How does it react to tempo changes - in particular with ye olde Intakt engine?

Any info/experiences/musings welcomed....

Aren't you using Logic, Didier? It has Apple loops, which could be the simplest way to go - especially if you change meters.

Again thanks for the reply. As you can see I finally have a minute to post again in the forums....my first posts in quite some time. In June I will have a few days to do a complete studio overhaul before the next wave of projects begin.

Yes, I do use LAP and I am all over Apple Loops, what with beginning to convert all of my loop/phrase library. In fact, will be hiring someone to do most of it for me.....not enough time in the day.

BUT the reason I am posting this tempo lock issue is that I am trying to avoid running the dreaded NI Intakt stuff on my mac. I find that it makes it just too unstable and would rather have it running on a drone PC. Nathan is forever complaining to me about this as well...

So to have, say Stormdrum sync'ing to my cue from a PC and acommodating TEMPO CHANGES would be ideal. V Stack works fine for everything else. Any thoughts???

Vstack doesn't follow tempo changes!!

I find it annoyingly so and NEED an alternative.

If you go to the forte site and search the forum, apparently they are tryig to address there sync issues as well. Still fluctuating though.
