I am considering buying a Quantum Leap sample cd. I found out that some of their cds are in a format with the extension .nrg on the end. Before I rush out and buy anything, I want to make sure I have the right software to open or run this file format...
Can anyone tell me what the extension .nrg means and what software might be suitable to open or run an .nrg file?
cheers

great, thanks for the pointless reply! now, has anyone got some helpful feedback please? thank you.
I don’t know if you’ll consider this helpful, but if there’s an .nrg involved it’s a sure sign that it’s an illegal copy of Quantum Leap. CDs don’t have file extensions.

.nrg is an image file from Nero Burning Rom, which means that you're going to buy pirated libraries. I won't get more helpful than: I'd advise you against buying any second hand or pirated sample libraries. Not only does it mean stealing from the people that post here every day, it's also plain unethical.

I think that Yoda would say:
"I guess now You know" or "Now You know I guess"

I can't see why someone would sell a cd that just contains a cd image file...
I suspect that by 'buying', Knight means 'downloading'.

I suspect that by 'buying', Knight means 'downloading'.Which makes his original question even more silly. :D
