Well, LA is a bit of an anomaly when it comes to these types of things. Through the course of an average week, you're bound to attend screenings with famous directors (http://www.egyptiantheatre.com/), lectures and seminars with legendary composers (http://www.thescl.com), demos on new tech toys and sample libraries (http://www.audiomidi.com/), and wrap it all up with a screening at the local cemetery (http://www.filmradar.com/calendar/item.php?id=938)

I guess for all of the "horrible" things about LA, it's nice to know that it's the right place to be if you like movies.

Hi Guys,

I just had a workshop from Broughton last week on the Ascap film and television workshop.
This man is a legend. He has great orchestration skills and just hearing his stuff and tips is fantastic and not to be missed. Highly recommended.
It was fun to see him talk and he has quite a no nonsense approach to it all. Very much a 'if you're doing this, than just do this' kind of thing which I've never had before.
I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did:)

Regards,

Joris

Hey -

Can anyone give a summary of the highlights for those of us who are not able to attend (non - So Cal residents) :(

Thanks in advance.
