I\'m planning on getting two 512 mb DDR Dram chips for my motherboard. But there is a rather large jump in price for ECC registered modules. (some Error correction thing) Is this something I should spend the extra money on for use with giga, or just get the non ecc registered chips?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I would expect the error-correcting advantage of ECC RAM to be minimal...an bit-flip error due to alpha particle bombardment rarely occurs. Software bugs and driver incompatibility errors have a far greater impact on the stability of Gigastudio than the once in a blue moon bit error to warrant the extra cost of ECC.
...unless, of course, you\'re also monitoring a nuclear reactor http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif
