MOTU 2408 MKII & Giga outs

Hello! I was wondering about a feature of the 2408... When you send the Giga outputs to the 2408, do you have to run the 2408 outs to a mixer, and then back in to the 2408\'s inputs? Or, can you directly route the 2408\'s outputs to its inputs?


I would like to get the 2408MKII if it can route it\'s outputs directly to it\'s inputs. I have the PCI-822, and you have to run the outputs to a mixer (TM-D1000 in my case) then back into the PCI-822. I am recording into Cubase VST (pc). Thanks!

Unless some new drivers have come out that I don\'t know about, Cubase is not multi-client compatible. It will take over the soundcard completely leaving nothing for Giga so you can\'t really route inside the MOTU from Giga into Cubase.
Somebody please, prove me wrong...
