Tried to pop in to say hi before heading out this evening, but it just hung on the "Entering..." line. That's never happened before, maybe there's just a heavy load on the server.

Yeah, I tried to get into chatland, too. It appeared there was some kind of Java stall, and the chat engine never did its thing.
