Hi again guys,

I seem to be having some difficulty with the "Basic Orch Percussion" Sample. It won't play back in Sibelius. I've checked my MIDI channels and they are properly set, and I even tried setting them to MIDI channel 10 (in Sibelius and Kontact of course). What's going on?

Matt,

Midi channel 10 doesn't mean anything in GPO's percussion. Make sure that you are using the proper pitch for each instrument, each has a different pitch (and it has to be in the right octave)...this is all covered in the GPO manual.

But I don't get ANY sound for ANY pitch http://www.northernsounds.com/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif .

Matt, how are the velocity settings?

They are all the way up. I can hear the sounds playing back in Kontact, but in Sibelius I get nothing.

Matt,
If you're sure you're using the correct pitches and you have velocities up, then I'm at a loss (don't know zip about Sibelius).

Are you having this problem with other GPO instruments, or just the Basic Orch Perc?

Have you tried any pitched percussion like timpani?

Try ~C1,127 in the beginning of the perc.part.
By the way, in which GPO Studio player have you loaded the perc.?

I uploaded the perc. in GPO Studio 1.

Which as it turns out might be the problem. It played back in my other scores, but now that you mention it, in that score percusion was in GPO Studio 2.
