RAM more than 512MB?

I have seen several postings here talking about changing cache settings to recognize more than 512MB of RAM. My motherboard specs say 512MB max. Will changing the cache settings enable me to install more RAM on this mobo? Or is it just a Windows recognition thing? Thanks

If your motherboard only supports 512MB of RAM then I don\'t believe you can upgrade past that point regardless of what settings you use.

Be sure to check the web site of you motherboard manufacturer for the most recent specs. Sometimes a BIOS update will allow more RAM or a faster CPU.
