I have an Athlon 1.4 Ghz machine, the motherboard is an Asus a7a-266, it has two slots for DDR ram which each have a 512 MB chip in them. The board also has 3 SDR ram slots.
It\'s come time that I need to upgrade my memory, but the 1GB DDR chips are still very pricey. Would there be any problem or less of performance in giga if I were to take out the DDR ram and put in 3 1GB chips of SDR ram in the other slots?
