Hi Mr. Okawa!
Wonderful News!:D
I have the Full LPC version for Giga3 and love it. Will there be any cross-grades available to the new Kontakt2 version? I love LPC but I'm not a big fan of Giga3 anymore (I hate to say). By the way, before Bruce comes in and pounds me:o , I don’t mean to diss Giga 3, Kontakt 2 is just my preferred method of working. A Kontakt 2 script should be able to add the slides:)
Thanks!

I have the Full LPC version for Giga3 and love it. Will there be any cross-grades available to the new Kontakt version? I love LPC but I'm not a big fan of Giga3 anymore (I hate to say). If the new version is Kontakt, then a simple script for Kontakt 2 should provide the needed slides (after Kontakt 1.x import, if that is the current format).

Here is a new demo for ELECTRIC GRAND PCP-80 (http://www.prominy.com/elec.htm) by Fabrizio Massara (http://www.fabriziomassara.com).
Recently he did a great job on Scarbee KGB demo, and now, he made a splendid tune using ELECTRIC GRAND PCP-80.
A silent protection (http://www.prominy.com/demo/A_silent_protection.mp3)

note:
The original Yamaha CP-80 was a unique instrument. Not perfect, but definitely unique and inspiring. And these are probably the two most important things a musician looks for. The Prominy Electric Grand PCP-80 is unique and inspiring as well, a pleasure under the fingers. Oh, and you wont't ever need to take care of its tuning!

And Amplitube2.0 coming soon... ;)

Hey Akihito, One question:
If I get into groupbuy and go for LPC Electric Distortion Guitar
will I get Giga and Kontakt 2 discs ?
I can load gigs into Halion2 but not gig3.0 but maybe I'll get kontakt 2 in a few months and then I'll be able to use it fully in kontakt ? Yes Or No ?
Giga and KOntakt 2 in one package There is ? :|:

Yes, Giga and Kontakt2 in one package. (Original package + Kontakt2 discs)
You don't need to buy same samples twice.
The articulations including key switches and controllers have been completely reproduced and they are fully working as well as Giga3. (+ some improvements)
You can control various playing techniques using an articulation.
(I've just upload; LPC_controller_chart_Kontakt2 (http://www.prominy.com/LPC/LPC_controller_chart_Kontakt2.pdf). Please read the chart.)
Currently, 'Realtime Legato slide instruments' using GS3's Legato mode are not available in the Kontakt2 format. We are researching a best way to reproduce the Realtime Legato Slide in Kontakt2.
But you can emulate Realtime Legato by crossfading a normal sustain instrument and a (non-realtime) legato slide instrument manually.
In short, all the sounds are available in the Kontakt2 format. :)

Hi,
I'm tempted to bite. Just a couple of Qs:
1) I don't have Giga, and I'm currently running Kontakt 1.5x. Do I have to upgrade to V2 to make this work?
2) Does anyone have an opinion about getting the clean version only, and distorting thru Adobe Audition 1.5? Or would I really be missing the quality I could get with Guitar Rig, Amplitube, etc. or the LPC clean/distortion package?
Thanks in advance,
Michael

Hello Michael,
1) I don't have Giga, and I'm currently running Kontakt 1.5x. Do I have to upgrade to V2 to make this work?
Yes, Kontakt2 is required.
The .nki files were edited and saved using Kontakt2. (Kontakt 1.5x can not load Kontakt2 .nki files)

Greetings
The demos sound fantastic and I'll get me Kontakt 2 with the Komplete 3 upgrade. But I still wonder how you work with this library: With the Kontakt 2 version there seems to be a basic patch with the needed articulations accessible via keyswitches for doing a lead-solo in realtime. Is this correct?
My main concern is how I would use the chords: Is there a patch with different chord types (maj, min) to do rhythm-parts in real-time? Or do I have to choose different patches when I want to use different chord-types (maj, min) in one song? How do you do rhythm-parts with LPC?
I have looked in the manual that's available online and have searched the forum, but I wasn't able to find this vital information (or haven't understood it... ;-)
Thanks in advance for a reply & best wishes,
andis

'000_LPC_basic_set' is that.
LPC_player's_instrument.nki includes;
single note (sustain, mute, vibrato, hammer-on, pull-off, tremolo picking, pinch harmonic+vibrato, picking noise), 5th-dyed chord (sustain, mute, vibrato, picking noise), 4th-dyed chord (sustain, mute, vibrato, picking noise), octave (sustain, vibrato),barre chord brash noise, open chords (fast /slow stroke), scrape, unison bend (2types)
in one patch.
LPC controller chart Kontakt2 version

In the GS3 format, the stack instruments (.gsi) which includes all the chords are available. They are customizable.
All-chord patch .nki will be posted soon. You can change chords with key switches. But different from GS3's stack instrument, it's not 'customizable'. You'll need to "EDIT" the nki file...
Kontakt2 has a new feature; instrument bank, you can pool the chords you use in a tune to an instrument bank and switch with program change command. If your midi keyboard has a dedicated program change button, k2's instrument bank feature may be a solution.
As Down and Up stroke are mapped on one layer in all the chord patches, (for example; down E2-A3, up E4-A5) you can strum the chords without switching up/down.
And some more 'fun to play' patches will be posted soon...
I hope this answers your questions.

That sounds great. As far as I am concerned (I will use it in Kontakt 2), the more playing aids to use the various articulations it in real time, the more valuable it is. Thanks!

Yes. you can use the libraries commercially in your musical production without asking for our permission.
(The libraries are NOT loop or Rick libraries, FYI.)

No, you don't have to do it.
(It's welcome if you credit Prominy though. You can credit your name as a 'Guitarist'. :) )

In my experience they tend to accelerate toward the end (although Akihito tried to induce early purchases through his bonus lottery). On the other hand, they amount of pruchases to get to the next level increases substantially.
In any event, there is no doubt it will get to 50% off.

I'm pretty sure this will make it to 80 - theres a lot of days left and the usual rampup has yet to happen.
Akihito - any word on the distorted guitar demos yet? And - just curious about this on - i've already put in for the clean, but if i liked the distorted, what can be done to order that dual set instead? If it hits the 60% i might want to do that.
thanks

Hello Akihito,
even if my funds are not very high by now, at last I surrender : I really can't miss this opportunity to get your pcp 80 !
So here I am, with one more order for you !....
----
BTW,
You may remember that I'm already a (very satisfied) Clean LPC owner.
So, it would be great if we could take advantage of this pcp 80 shipping to get me the LPC Kontakt version altogether.
(I too, as another poster, hate to say that in fact I would really prefer to use it with Kontakt rather than with Giga... K2 being more reliable on my system than GS3).
------
Well, that's all, I hope for both of us (the customers and you), that this groupbuy will reach its highest limit (and beyond !).
---
Just want to add that people who really look for a guitar sample library which sounds as a real guitar, and with attitude, with chords, etc, should really consider LPC.
I cannot advertise the pcp80 so far as a real user, but frankly, I only will say that the demos are outstanding (check them out people) !
------------------------------------
Keep up the good work !

I'm 99.9% sure I'll be in on this before long. So hitting 80 looks really good!
I do have a question though. I'm looking at the clean version, but I'm wondering how the sustain of the guitar is affected by not running through the amp. Is it possible to get good long held notes when you run it through amp sims and compressors? Or is the processed version better in terms of the guitar responing the way it would through an amp?
EDIT- just listened to the Star Spangled Banner demo. Guess that answers that question :D :D :D

I've just found out about this Prominy thing. I'm tempted to get it, because I really need electric guitars, but I have a question. I'm a total noob when it comes to sampling, and I'm not a guitarist; but I've got plenty of general little riff/lick ideas. What I need to find are tutorials for constructing these monsterous, frighteningly realistic guitar performances. Does anyone know where I could find some MIDI demo files (as opposed to just audio) so I could zoom in and study how some of these blistering demos were actually PUT TOGETHER? (for example, Cakewalk software comes with quite a few MIDI demo compositions that you can study, and learn how the programmer/composer achieved certain effects...)
I remember another guitar sample collection I saw advertised a few months back, and the demos were so good I ordered the CD... but I haven't ever actually used it, because I don't know how/where to apply the articulations and pick/fret noises (or whatever they're called) (again, obviously, I'm not a guitarist) to give it that realistic feel. For instance, if I simply hear a "fret noise" sample, in isolation, it's hard to envision where that sound would be most effective in an actual riff. But if I can actually see how and where it was incorporated into an existing performance, at the MIDI level, I could then have some hope of emulating a realistic guitar track, which is precisely what I need to get right now.
In other words, I'm more of a "visual learner" - I need to see how to put these things together, rather than trying to figure it out simply by listening to audio demos.
Mr. Okawa, would you be able to make some kind of MIDI versions of these audio demos available (for us non-guitarists), so we could get the most out of (i.e., effectively use) your product?
(Thought I'd at least ask.) Thanks.
- Beanie

I received today and I've been playing it for some minutes... WOW!! I have ordered the complete Clean and Distorted... Ok... I tried Clean version 1st... excellent sound, excellent programming, so many available options...Cool!! Happy buy...
Ok... second part:
I wasn't really sure about the distorted too because of the fact that clean+ amp simulator sounds excellent...but I did, the price was good and etc.
MY GOD... HOW HAPPY I AM TO HAVE BOUGHT IT... This is by far the BEST guitar library I've encountered so Far....the Kybrd answer is fantastic, incredibly playable out of the box and THE DISTORTION GUITAR ROCKS!!!!!! Let me say it again.... IT REALLY ROCKS!!!! What a BIG sound!!...
I really don't know if with a Marshall amp sim you might get the same sound and in real time, it's crisp, clear, and some patches are FAT!!! :)
The rest is excellent, packaging, shipping, info and feedback...
Excellent group buy ;)
Best,

Hello Edward,
Hmm...
I deleted all the internet temporary files and clicked on the mp3 button, it was played wihtout any problems.
I checked the mp3 file on our web server, but It seems not to be corrupted.
Please try;
(If you use Windows)
1. Right Click on the 'mp3' button of Play All Demos.
2. Select 'Save Target As...'
3. After finishing download, play it with your mp3 player software.
If the mp3 file does not work fine, please let me know.

Just insert an amp simulator plug-in to your sequencer's audio channel for Kontakt2.
You can run Amplitube before bouncing unless your Amplitube is the standalone version (not plug-in).

Akihito,
All I can say about this LPC library is - WOW!!!!!
This is very, very, very impressive library. There so much one can do with it; it's just amazing!!!
Thank you very much.
Looking forward to updated sounds for Kontakt2 users (the realtime Leagato thing).
Also, I tried to download the PCP manual and LCP controller chart and they seem to be curropted files or something. If you could double check on those 2 pdf files it would be great.
Let's hope for another givaway with 200 buyers!!!!

Hi AndrewW,
I am glad to hear that you are enjoying LPC.
I checked the .pdf files, but I can browse the files without any problems.
PCP-80 User's Manual
http://www.prominy.com/PCP-80/PCP-80_USERS_MANUAL_web.pdf
LPC User's Manual, Controller Chart (GIGA)
http://www.prominy.com/LPC/LPC_manual_v1.0_web.pdf

LPC User's Manual, Controller Chart (Kontakt2)
http://www.prominy.com/LPC/LPC_manual_Kontakt2.pdf

Please try;
(If you use Windows)
1. Right Click on the links above.
2. Select 'Save Target As...'
3. After finishing download, open them with AcrobatReader.
If you still have same problem after you tried that,
how about this? (.zip archived files)

http://www.prominy.com/PCP-80/PCP-80_USERS_MANUAL_web.zip
I hope it works.
